Anfield target Barry spared showdown with O'Neill on return to training at Villa
Gareth Barry managed to avoid Martin O'Neill as he returned to training yesterday - but was still left in no doubt about the Aston Villa boss's anger towards him.
England star Barry, 27, was fined and suspended for two weeks after criticising his manager in light of a proposed move to Liverpool that has yet to materialise.

'Liverpool have not come back to us yet,' said O'Neill in The Mirror. 'He needs to get some work done now, so it is best that he gets in and does some training.'
The midfielder remains determined to move to Liverpool despite the Anfield club having FOUR offers rejected.
He hoped to speak with O'Neill at the club's Bodymoor Heath training ground ahead of Liverpool's expected fresh bid of £18million.
But O'Neill was away working on signings and left first-team coach Steve Walford in charge.
Barry was at least spared the ignominy of being dumped to train with the youngsters - but Walford still blasted him for the way he has publicly demanded a switch to Anfield.
