Andy no Charlton avenger

Alan Pardew should have little difficulty identifying the main danger to Charlton's recent revival when they face Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow.

Everton's push for a UEFA Cup place is being spearheaded by Andy Johnson, and the in-form England striker's hunger for goals should be keener than ever after he was relegated with Crystal Palace in a lastday 2-2 draw with Charlton.

"They were Palace's big rivals, and they sent us down," he said. "We needed to win on that final day and we had a chance when I stepped up to take a penalty with 10 minutes to go.

"It was the most important one of my career and I managed to slot it. Jonathan Fortune got an equaliser with a few minutes to go, though, and we were down.

"It will be another nervy game because they are fighting for their lives and we are fighting for Europe.

"I have no hard feelings against Charlton. That's football. That's what happens in games.

"I am just out to score goals week in, week out."
