Andrew Johnson off to Fulham in £12m deal

On the move: Andrew Johnson is expected to sign for Fulham
13 April 2012

Fulham were today giving striker Andrew Johnson a medical ahead of a move, which could cost them a club record £12million.

Johnson joined Everton from Crystal Palace for £8.6m in May 2006 and scored 22 goals in 74 games. Although the 27-year-old will initially cost £10.5m, add-ons could take the fee past the £11.5m Fulham paid Lyon for Steve Marlet in 2001.

Meanwhile, striker El-Hadji Diouf, 27, was having a medical at Sunderland today, hoping to complete a £2.5m transfer from Bolton.
