Allen praise after defeat

Martin Allen today praised his new look team for a better display in their 2-0 cup defeat at Ipswich.

The Brentford manager made five changes from the 3-0 capitulation at Peterborough on Saturday.

It took until the 75th minute before Ipswich broke through with a Tommy Miller goal. Winger Ian Westlake added the second.

Allen said: "I gave them a big hug. They tried their best."
