Abramovich goes Dutch

Tongues started wagging in Amsterdam when Roman Abramovich was spotted among the crowd for Ajax's clash with Feyenoord last weekend.

Was Chelsea's owner lining up another raid on the Dutch league following the signings of Arjen Robben and Mateja Kezman?

The answer appears to be negative, as Chelsea insiders say football-loving Abramovich just wanted to watch Ajax in action. So chief executive Peter Kenyon organised a trip to their biggest domestic game of the season.
