Vogue Williams has said she has never seen husband Spencer Matthews so upset as when he discovered he was not invited to best friend Jamie Laing’s wedding.

Made In Chelsea star Laing, 34, tied the knot with co-star Sophie Habboo, 29, at Chelsea Town Hall earlier this month.

After noticing that Matthews, 34, and Williams, 37, did not attend, some fans expressed surprise the couple had snubbed their special day.

But it has since transpired that Laing forgot to invite the couple — admitting it was a “simple mistake”.

Now the two couples have addressed the drama as Laing and Habboo welcomed Matthews and Williams onto their latest podcast episode.

Williams told the Nearlyweds podcast: “He was very upset, I have to be honest, I’ve never seen him like that.”

Laing explained: “I f***ed up. We had our wedding, our civil ceremony, in the UK. It was a hectic process. Amongst the hectic-ness of getting people there and things like that, I thought Spencer and Vogue were away.”

Habboo donned a Vivienne Westwood minidress and cropped Gigi and Olive veil for the occasion, while the Candy Kittens entrepreneur looked dashing in a navy double-breasted suit at the ceremony — held on April 14.

After saying ‘I do’ the pair, who got engaged in December 2021 having started dating in April 2019, enjoyed a private lunch at Stanley’s which included a trout starter, cod main and wedding cake for dessert.

The reality TV stars are set to hold a second ceremony with their wider circle of friends and family in Spain on May 19 — with Matthews and Williams plus their three children all invited.

Laing and Habboo have been documenting their upcoming nuptials on their podcast, Nearlyweds, discussing the trials and tribulations of planning a wedding.
