Comedian Vic Reeves was banned from the road today for drink-driving.

The host of Shooting Stars pleaded guilty at Maidstone magistrates' court to crashing his Jaguar into a parked car on Good Friday while nearly three times over the limit.

The case was adjourned until 21 April, when Reeves, 46, will have to answer a separate charge of leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it.

The court heard how Reeves, real name James Roderick Moir, allegedly collided with a Peugeot car near his home in Kent. The other vehicle was driven by his 23-year-old neighbour Michelle Tong.

Reeves was granted unconditional bail at the end of the 10-minute hearing.
