Vanessa Feltz has said life hasn’t been “easy” following her split from fiancé Ben Ofoedu after 16 years together.

The broadcaster admitted the heartbreak has left her up at night in a new candid Instagram post filmed during dinner at London’s Brasserie Of Light restaurant.

In the clip, the 61-year-old was asked by a friend behind the camera, “Vanessa, you’re looking great but how do you really feel?”

Overcome with emotion, she replied: “Well, no one said it was going to be easy and I must say it isn’t easy actually, especially in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep and all of that.

“But I’m keeping on, keeping on and I’ve got lots and lots of friends and family around me and I’m really loving that.

“Everyday I suppose I hope it’s going to get a little bit easier but thank you for asking.”

Earlier this month, Ofoedu, 50, admitted that he slept with an older woman three times after meeting her in Ibiza.

In the same interview with the Sunday Mirror, he also admitted sexting a fan who messaged him on Instagram and flirting with another woman at Butlin’s.

Speaking about the woman he slept with in Ibiza he said: “I met her on the gig scene. She was the same age as Vanessa, possibly older. She took a shine to me, said lots of nice things.

“Over a short period of time we had sex three times. It was purely sexual, there were no feelings involved. It felt like a chore. I just fell back into it with her to keep her sweet and everything under wraps.”

Ofoedu said he cheated because he was insecure about Ms Feltz not wanting to get married.

They got engaged in 2006 a year after they started dating and while Feltz accepted his proposal, she admitted that her previous marriage had left a bad taste in her mouth.

Feltz was previously married to doctor Michael Kurer, with whom she has two children.

Following his admission, the host wrote in her Express column that she was left feeling “battered and bruised” after learning that the Phats & Small singer had been unfaithful, which resulted in her deciding to end the relationship.
