'The Only Way Is Essex' triumphed at the first-ever National Reality TV Awards.

The ITV2 series - starring Lauren Goodger, James 'Arg' Argent and Sam Faiers - was named Best Entertainment Show and Best Non-Competition Reality Show, while Amy Childs beat cocky co-stars Mark Wright and Joey Essex to take home the Reality Personality of the Year gong.

Amy assured viewers she will be returning to 'The Only Way Is Essex' for an upcoming third season this autumn.

She said: "It's a massive achievement for me, I'm so shocked. It means the world to me. I pinch myself every day.

"I'm 100 million per cent not quitting 'The Only Way Is Essex', I'll be back in September. There's a lot more of Amy Childs to come. I can't wait to start filming again.

"'TOWIE' is the biggest thing for me. One day I might do my own thing but it's all about the show at the moment."

BBC One's 'The Apprentice' also scooped three awards at the event - held at London's Proud2 @ The O2 in aid of the Help For Heroes charity - bagging Best Business Show and Best Reality Competition Show.

Meanwhile, 'Apprentice' panellist Karren Brady shocked audiences by picking up the gong for Best Reality TV Judge, beating the likes of Cheryl Cole, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon to the prize.

Stella English - who won last year's series of the BBC One show - told BANG Showbiz: "Karren is genuinely an amazing woman. It was really hard for her to take on the role filled by Margaret Mountford because she'd been in the show for so long. But she's done really well."

Francis Maximilien Boulle and Fredrik Ferrier of Made In Chelsea were in attendance and a dapper dressed Francis told the London Evening Standard that he would like to see some of his cast members axed from the next series.

"I don't think people are as interested in Caggie and Spencer because they aren't believable - but I don't know who will or won't be back.

"I wouldn't mind my own spin off show at all and perhaps Fredrik and I can do something together" he added.

Other celebrities at the awards included Dragon Den's Peter Jones, Jedward and Hed Kandi's Chloe Lecash.

Elsewhere, 'The Model Agency' was named Most Inspiring TV Show, while Noel Edmonds' 'Deal or No Deal' scooped the Best Game Show prize.

However, perhaps surprisingly, 'The X Factor', 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'Strictly Come Dancing' all went home empty-handed.

The winners were chosen by some 1.5 million reality TV fans, who cast their votes online.
