Lap up the luxury of Las Vegas in one of London's very own lounge bars. Whether you want to sip mojitos and Martinis in exquisite exclusivity or relax in chilled-out chic suroundings experience the finest Sin City pleasures in the heart of the capital

  • Loungelover1 Whitby Street, E1. Tel: 020 7012 1234Las Vegas isn't dubbed bright light city for nothing, so if you want to have a colourful time in fabulous surroundings head to fun-loving Hoxton for a night to remember. The achingly hip Loungelover has won a string of awards for its ecletic interior and is decked out in a sumptuous mish-mash of styles, but for a true Vegas experience head straight to the Day-Glo Red Lounge.
  • American Bar at the SavoyStrand, London WC2R 0EU. Tel: 020 7836 4343This was apparently Frank Sinatra's favourite London watering hole and so lays claim to some bona fide Rat Pack history. The jackets and tie rule was relaxed and now the atmosphere is far from stiff. Lean nonchalantly against the grand piano with your dry Martini while the pianist launches into 'Fly Me To The Moon' and scrutinise the the scratches said to have been left when Sammy Davis Jnr tap-danced while Old Blue Eyes played!
  • Floridita100 Wardour Street W1. Tel: 020 7314 4000The hugely popular lower-ground floor of Conran's former Mezzo restaurant is reviving the 60s-style supper club. It's an exercise in unrestrained glamour, with shiny, shimmering decor and more than a touch of class. This drop-dead gorgeous venue exhibits high-class urban decadence at its very best.
  • Kingly Club4 Kingly Court, Soho W1B 5PW. Tel: 020 7287 9100The Kingly Club's heritage is one of decadence and debauchery. In the 1960s Champagne-guzzling guests included Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Oliver Reed, as well as John Profumo who began the infamous 'Profumo Affair' in the Soho club. Nowadays you are more likely to rub shoulders with Scarlet Johanson (who celebrated her birthday there) while your relax in ultra-exclusive surroundings sipping cocktails from a menu as long as an encyclopedia.
  • Pengelley's164 Sloane Street, SW1 Tel: 020-7750 5000 The exclusive lounge bar situated above acclaimed chef Ian Pengelley's fantastically popular restaurant is a first choice for connoisseurs. With a veritable cornucopia of cocktails to choose from — including six different varieties of Bloody Marys alone — the most demanding of customer will be satisfied.
