It’s a good job that Hollywood actors are insured or else what would Tom Hanks have done when he hurt himself on the set of his new movie?

But this was no action sequence; there were no car chases or big fights, no fireworks or punches...

The 51-year-old looked a little queasy as he was tended by medics.

He pulled a few squeamish faces before he was given the OK to continue.

The daring actor went back to work to reprise his role as Dr Robert Langdon in the Da Vinci Code sequel Angels And Demons.

It’s a good thing he was getting paid a reported £20million for the role, which would make him the highest paid Hollywood actor since Jim Carey’s £20million pay cheque for the 1996 movie The Cable Guy.
