This Morning viewers have called out new presenter Cat Deeley for an annoying habit.

The West Bromwich-born star, 47, was recently named Holly Willoughby’s permanent replacement on the ITV show after she stepped down following 14 years in the role last October.

Deeley had impressed TV bosses after filling in for a couple of shows last year and Tuesday marked Deeley’s second consecutive appearance as its full time presenter from Mondays to Thursdays alongside co-host Ben Shephard

But some fans have so far seemed unable to warm to her in the same way as Willoughby, taking to social media to vent their frustrations over how Deeley and Shephard, 49, were regularly talking over each other and the guests.

A moment involving celebrity chef John Torode was highlighted in their complaints over on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Torode, who is a regular contributor to the show, had been talking Deeley and Shephard through his ultimate Thai green curry, to which one unimpressed viewer wrote: “Is this the Cat Deeley show? She never stops making a noise!”

“Cat Deeley needs to listen more instead of talking all the time. John Torode was trying to explain a recipe, but she kept interrupting. I much prefer Ben Shepherd,” fumed another.

Adding: “I may have to turn off This Morning now she is on there all the time. She is too over the top.”

While a third put in: “Cat Deeley permanent presenter? Nope not for me! Way too annoying she makes my ears bleed.”

Some were more open minded to the change however.

“They’re professional. It’s what it’s needed for some time,” put forward one person.

“It was an absolute joy to watch you both today …fabulous indeed,” agreed another.
