That pout, those baby blue eyes...there's something about this eye-catching brunette that seems very familiar.

Of course! It's Cameron Diaz. The actress, whose naturally blonde hair has helped get her noticed in several major screen roles, has undergone a dramatic transformation.

The 34-year-old star has turned brunette. And although it is unlikely she could walk down Sunset Boulevard without being recognised, a double-take might well be necessary.

The change of style comes for a photoshoot for Marie Claire magazine, which persuaded Diaz to dye her blonde tresses for next month's issue.

She now sports lustrous chestnut-brown locks, and poses in a cream beaded gown which is barely acquainted with the tops of her legs.

And she appears delighted with her new look which is certainly an improvement on the hair-raising style she sported in the film There's Something About Mary.

Let's hope boyfriend Justin Timberlake is equally as impressed!
