Like an old crocodile lurking in a watering hole, waiting to snare an unsuspecting gazelle, Tom Jones positions himself outside the ladies'.

He knows that, sooner or later, they will have to come to him - and then he can turn on his legendary charm.

The 68-year-old burning hunk of love loitered outside the loos at the Shepherds Tavern after the Q Awards, and it wasn't long before he snared a female.

He captured the attention of his Welsh pal Cerys Matthews, and it was enough to lure her away from the drunken advances of Kaiser Chief Ricky Wilson.

It wasn't long before the trademark Tom Jones hand was around her waist, and the two later left the pub hand in hand and shared a cab together at the end of the evening.

Of course, the two are old friends, so we're sure it was purely innocent.
