Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams paid tribute to his mystery boyfriend as he marked his birthday on social media.

The Bad Education actor took to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate his other half’s milestone with a slew of photos of them together and captioned it: “Birthday boy. How it started vs How it's going.”

Layton shared two photos in the post, one of the two posing together at a festival, with the second image showing them in a hot tub.

The Strictly contestant provided further context on the photos in his Instagram Stories while re-sharing the post.

Both photographs were taken at Glastonbury Festival, with the first photo marking their first meeting and the latter showing them seemingly bathing in wine.

The West End star revealed that the pair met at Glastonbury as he gave context to their relationship in a later Instagram story, but remained quiet on any more details, including his boyfriend’s name.

He wrote alongside another photo of them walking down the street together: “Happy birthday to my fave! #HardLaunch but no @ coz ya’ll are too [nose emoji]-y.”

Williams’ post comes after he and dance partner Nikita Kuzmin found themselves in the dance-off for the first time alongside TV presenter Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu.

Despite earning 34 points for their American Smooth on Saturday night, the dancing duo failed to impress audiences and had to perform their routine to It’s Oh So Quiet by Björk for a second time.

Fortunately, they impressed the judges, with Craig Revel-Horwood, Anton du Beke and Motsi Mabuse voting to send them through to the quarter finals.
