Karen Hauer’s new boyfriend has confirmed their romance following her split from ex-husband Jordan Wyn-Jones.

The dancer, 41, and ex-rugby player Simon Davidson, 38, first sparked dating speculation when they were pictured leaving the Strictly Come Dancing final together in December.

The couple were then spotted exiting a Birmingham hotel, where Hauer had been staying during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

Things appear to be going from strength-to-strength as Davidson confirmed their relationship when he shared a sweet photo of them together on Instagram to mark his 38th birthday on Monday.

Captioning the picture, which saw the pair posing on top of a hill, he wrote: “Things can change in an instant.

“Try to live in the moment you never know what may happen #love #2024 #live #38.”

In response to his heartfelt caption, Hauer posted a heart and wind emoji under the update and then shared it to her Instagram Stories.

Elsewhere, Hauer’s fellow Strictly pro Gorka Marquez wrote under Davidson’s post: “Look at you two!!” while his partner Gemma Atkinson shared two smiling heart-eyed emojis in the comments.

Another social media user shared: “Lovely pic mate. Nice to see you happy! X” while another posted: “So happy for ye both ye deserve each other @karenhauer.”

After sharing his initial post, Davidson then posted a snap of Hauer on his Stories as they enjoyed a breakfast date together, “Belated birthday breakfast!”

Back in November, Hauer’s estranged husband said the show played a role in their split

In October, it was reported that the Venezuelan dancer and businessman Jordan Wyn-Jones had parted ways after marrying in 2022.

In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, Wyn-Jones said while he “admired” her dedication to her career and the show, he felt like her priorities were always elsewhere.

He said: “It’s a bit of a love story, a sad story. I’m incredibly sad not to be in Karen’s life, and not on this journey with her but we’re not right for each other in terms of her career.

“I will always admire her for her career but it took her away from me a lot. She’d be away and I’d be at home on my own.”

He said Hauer’s focus on her career meant they wanted “different things” from life. He suggested that a recent interview the dancer - Strictly’s longest-serving professional - gave where she said children were not in her future, was a contributing factor to their split.

“There was a plan about having children but then there wasn’t a plan,” he claimed.

He continued: “You do say things like, ‘I want to have kids’. And she’d mentioned to me that she wanted to have kids with me. But in the interview, Karen said ‘kids aren’t in the future’ – which made me sad. I’d always wanted to be a father.”
