The Prince of Wales partied in the park on Sunday with pop princesses, rock stars and more than 100,000 revellers.

Charles chatted to a host of celebs from the music scene including Lenny Kravitz, R'n'B singer Jamelia, The Corrs and Lionel Richie at the one-day gig organised by The Prince's Trust.

Ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell greeted Charles with a kiss on both cheeks and admitted afterwards that the Prince was pleased to see her in her "fuller" figure.

The former Ginger Spice, who was dressed in tiny khaki shorts and grey wellies, has come under scrutiny for ditching her waif-like image after putting on weight.

"He said he was glad to see me in my fuller figure," Halliwell, who is a Prince's Trust ambassador, revealed.

Charles, dressed in a suit, stayed at the Hyde Park event for around an hour and shook hands with Kravitz as VIPs lined up to greet the royal visitor.

Kravitz was decked out in a denim jacket decorated with gold studs and wore a brown woollen bobble hat and string-style vest.

He said afterwards: "The Prince asked me what I was doing. I told him about my tour. It's been a while since we met."

Also in the line-up were Matt Goss, Lemar and Peter Andre.

I'm A Celebrity... star Andre, who has launched his comeback singing career, said: "He didn't ask me about Jordan. I would have been a bit worried if he did."

Earlier, the Prince watched a few performers, including Lemar, from the Royal box seated between Pop Idol winner Will Young and Jamelia, who wore a low-cut white summer dress.

Charles waved at the crowd several times, with the revellers cheering back.
At one point one gig-goer waved a male blow-up doll just metres to the side of the Royal box.

As the Prince arrived at the annual event in London he was greeted by Prince's Trust ambassadors Gabby and Kenny Logan and Caprice.

Model Caprice wore skin-tight black trousers with silver buckles on the side and a crop-top fur jacket.

Last year's Party in the Park raised more than £1 million for the Prince's Trust, which helps young people overcome barriers and fulfil their potential.

Other acts on stage for 2004 included Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne and Blue.
