Richard Curtis's first feature was the kind of 1980s comedy that doesn't age well - a bit like Rowan Atkinson, whose appearances as an unpleasant comic are mercifully brief.

Jeff Goldblum is his lanky, maltreated assistant, Emma Thompson the brisk nurse whose sexual interest in Goldblum remains completely incomprehensible. There are a few good jokes, but now that the Blackadder glamour has long faded from Curtis and Atkinson, The Tall Guy looks pretty small. No extras.
