Sarah Beeny has shared that her last chemotherapy session was cancelled after medics discovered that her liver numbers were too high and her white blood cell count was too low.

The Channel 4 star sent New Year well wishes to her followers on social media as she gave them another update on her brave breast cancer battle.

Sharing a photo of a coffee mug and a few biscuits, the TV property expert explained that has been “laying around like a Dowager Duchess” following her cancelled treatment.

Captioning the post, she revealed: “Been delivered the perfect tray this morning by the brilliant Billy Swift!! Happy slightly late New Year to everyone...

“Been laying around like a Dowager Duchess a bit since last Chemo on 30th was cancelled because liver numbers too high and white blood cells too low…

“Just as you think you’re there….. bit less Eeyore now and hoping bloods better this week…. Hope you all were partying for me!!! Thank you all for your lovely messages!”

The Property Ladder presenter has been sharing updates over the festive period and last week posted a selfie of herself planting flowers in empty loo rolls with one of her four sons, Charlie.

The presenter, 50, appeared in good spirits while wearing a pink knitted hat and an orange polo neck as she posed with the teen.

Beeny revealed that the pair were planting flowers in empty loo rolls in the caption, adding: “@_charlie_swift_ it’s just not that wierd [sic] a thing to do with empty loo rolls….. just you wait till all the flowers pop out…..!!! X

“Thanks to the wonderful @somersetwreathsandgarlands for the idea and lovely seeds - you’re simply the best!!! And @alpacamyhat for the lovely warm hat!! X”.

The Channel 4 star is mum also to Billy, Rafferty, and Laurie, whom she welcomed with her husband of 19 years Graham Swift.

The property expert shared news of her diagnosis in August, and previously said that she almost expected to develop the disease after losing her mum to cancer aged 39.

Beeny – who is best known for her work on UK property programmes, including Help! My House Is Falling Down and Sarah Beeny’s New Life In The Country – told The Telegraph that she had began a course of chemotherapy to treat the cancer and had surgery.

At the time, she also shared that she was set to undergo radiotherapy in the New Year.
