Russell Brand has revealed that he “wishes” he were bisexual.

Speaking on Absolute Radio, the comedian and activist said: "I wish I was bisexual. That's one of the things about me where I've got a very traditional moral code. I'm tedious with my heterosexuality."

Activist: Russell Brand has been dabbling with the idea of running for Mayor

It’s not the first time that Russell - who recently split from Jemima Khan after a year - has spoken about his sexuality. In a podcast interview found last year, the comedian said: "I thought, 'I think of myself as heterosexual but perhaps that's 'cause of the environment that I grew up in where homosexuality may have been difficult for me to express."

He also explained in the podcast that he had picked the guy up in London's Soho by walking around the area and asking if anyone wanted to engage in a sex act with him.

Russell explained: "I trawled around Soho ... going [to] various gay bars, gay gyms trying to pick people up with a film crew."
