Liz Hurley is well-known for her eyewateringly strict diets. She lost 56lb after giving birth to her son Damian by living off rice and fish.

Her self-denial in the run-up to her wedding to Arun Nayer next March is no exception.

"Elizabeth is eating a very little breakfast, followed by a small lunch and only little snacks in the day, like a banana or raisins, before having a regular-sized dinner,î Grazia magazine informs us.

"She is drinking four litres of water a day and eating food like steamed fish and green vegetables.

"She is also eating lots of protein, such as egg-white omelettes and has cut out wheat, dairy, gluten and alcohol."

Let's hope she relaxes the regime a bit for her hen night or it might be a dull affair.

According to insiders Hurley is planning to stage two weddings.

The first is described as a small family affair set to take place imminently at Gloucestershire's Barnsley House hotel close to her 400-acre estate in Ampney Knowle.

A lavish ceremony is planned for Devi Garh, an 18th-century palace and fort in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
