Disgraced Hollywood hunk Mel Gibson has become the reluctant star of a new Internet video game.

The game, called "So You Think You Can Drive, Mel?," has racked up an amazing 700,000 hits in just three weeks.

It parodies the fallen Braveheart actor and director's recent drunk-driving arrest and anti-Semitic outburst in Malibu, California.

Gibson is featured in the game, which mirrors the real-life events that led to his downfall in the eyes of many of the public, as a caricature.

Players are challenged to drive from point Am which happens to be a beachfront bar, to B, facing obstacles including tequila bottles, state troopers, and rabbis throwing Stars of David at Gibson's Lexus saloon car.

The player's blood-alcohol level rises each time an obstacle is hit.

But Gibson does not see the funny side of the joke.

A spokesman for the Lethal Weapon star said: "We do not deem this worthy of comment."
