Supermodel Kate Moss is due to return to Britain this week to meet detectives investigating allegations of cocaine use, it was reported today

The 31-year-old, who has been out of the country since the allegations surfaced last September, will reportedly meet senior officers at a London police station in the next few days.

She is unlikely to be arrested, but instead will be formally interviewed under caution, according to the Evening Standard.

Scotland Yard, whose officers are investigating the claims, refused to discuss the report today.

Moss's London model agency, Storm, also refused to comment.

However, earlier this month, it was revealed that her lawyers were arranging for her to be interviewed by police.

A spokesman for the model said at the time she had made it "absolutely clear" she would co-operate with the police investigation.

Moss was engulfed in a furore when footage emerged apparently showing her using the Class A drug in a west London recording studio last year.

The mother of one was allegedly with her ex-boyfriend, Pete Doherty, the troubled frontman of rock group Babyshambles, at the time.

She lost lucrative contracts with H&M, Chanel and Burberry in the wake of the controversy but later released a statement in which she admitted "full responsibility" for her actions.

She went into rehab in Arizona, and is now thought to be making plans to settle in Los Angeles with her three-year-old daughter, Lila Grace.

One of Scotland Yard's most senior officers, Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur, appealed earlier this month for Moss to return to Britain and tell police "her side of the story".

Ultimately, it will be up to the Crown Prosecution Service to decide whether to bring any criminal charges.
