Madonna shows her new daughter Paris

Madonna took her adopted children to Paris yesterday, showing off young Mercy for the first time. The 50-year-old singer, who is due to perform at Paris Bercy tonight, bundled Mercy and David into The Ritz hotel as fans and photographers jostled with each other for the best vantage point.

Rocco, the son she has with ex-husband Guy Rtichie, was not with them as they went into the Ritz, but earlier in the day Lourdes — Madonna's daughter with Carlos Leon — flew into Le Bourget airport to join them.

Despite the media and public attention yesterday, little Mercy seemed to take the whole thing in her stride.

Perhaps, like her adopted mother, Mercy loves the attention — and it won't be long before she's strutting her stuff on stage.
