Tasha Ghouri has revealed her shocked reaction after being presented with a ring by boyfriend Andrew Le Page on Christmas Day.

The couple’s relationship has been going from strength-to-strength since meeting earlier this year while taking part on ITV2 show Love Island.

They spent the festive period with Andrew’s family in Guernsey and as a sign of his commitment to her, the 27-year-old splashed out on a £265 silver band by Tiffany and Co as a promise ring.

Taking to her YouTube channel to give fans a glimpse at the jewellery, Tasha, 23, told her subscribers: “Everybody is probably thinking this is an engagement box - Andrew got me a gorgeous promise ring and I love it so much.

“It’s so simple and I love silver. I did not expect that at all, I nearly started crying.

“When I first saw the box I was like... because that is an engagement box.”.

She continued: “When I opened it I was literally like...I didn’t know what to say, nobody has ever done that to me before and now I can wear that on my finger.

“I love something meaningful like that and something special that I can just wear all the time, it’s linked to Andrew, so that’s why I really love it.”

Noting that Tasha was not wearing the ring at the time she filmed her video, former estate agent Andrew joked: “She’s not going to wear it, she’s going to keep it in the box.”

Tasha insisted that she most certainly would be wearing it, but had to figure out which finger it should go on, explaining: “Promise rings you wear on the ring finger, I swear, but we’ll figure out which finger to put it on.

“But this means we’re not engaged. If you see me wearing it on my ring finger, it’s a promise ring.”
