A school exercise book belonging to former Beatle John Lennon is expected to fetch more than £100,000 when it goes on sale next month.

The ten-page red book includes doodles, poems and drawings, and gives an insight into Lennon's songwriting abilities.

Auctioneer Louise Cooper said: 'The book includes ten famous poems, including The Walrus And The Carpenter.

That obviously led in his mind to the Beatles' hit I Am The Walrus.' The sale takes place at Madame Tussauds, London, on April 19.
