Drew Barrymore has swapped her favoured worn jeans and old t-shirt look for some Old Hollywood glamour.

The star stepped on set of her new film Grey Gardens sporting soft curls, lashings of red lipstick and a thigh-skimming playsuit.

In the film, which also stars Jessica Lange, Drew plays Little Edie, the eccentric aunt and first cousin of former First Lady Jackie Kennedy.

She said last year: "I definitely feel the beginnings of a tick tock."

"Whether I have children or adopt – whatever form a family comes in, I would absolutely love to have it."
