Newlyweds Ewan and Julie Searle were serenaded by Lady Gaga after meeting the star in a pub in Chiswick.

The New Zealanders, who are backpacking, told how the 24-year-old singer asked them if they were celebrating their wedding.

Mrs Searle, 25, said: "I said, Yes, we got married.' She said, That calls for a song.' She asked if anyone could play the guitar. A French friend called Sam — one of the guys from the hostel — rushed back to get his. After he came back they played Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones for us in the back room."

The singer also bought a round of drinks for everyone at The Raven.
