Myleene Klass and Lauren Laverne are to become the new presenters of Saturday morning music show cd:uk, it was announced today.

They will fill the job vacated by Cat Deeley when she quit earlier this year.
Since then MTV's Dave Berry has hosted the ITV1 show.

The pair will co-present the programme with newcomer Johny P.

Former Hear'say star Klass, who relaunched herself as a classical pianist after the group's break-up, said: "I have always been a huge fan of cd:uk. This is my ideal job and I can't wait to get started."

Laverne, a former singer with indie band Kenickie turned TV and radio presenter, added: "I'm over the moon to be working on the most exciting music show on TV. The world is awash with incredible bands and musicians at the moment and I can't wait to get stuck in."

Johny P - real name John Andrew Pitts - is a presenter on Trouble TV and plays keyboards in the band Bare Knuckle Soul.

The new look show launches on September 17.

Executive producer Conor McAnally said: "Our three new hosts have all been chosen for their extensive and varied music backgrounds. They will be able to speak with authority and genuine knowledge.

"The new look will ensure cd:uk continues to reflect the ever-evolving music climate and re-invent the way music shows are presented."
