The Duchess of York might be one year older today but she is clearly determined to hang on to her youth for a little while longer.

Last night she made an appearance at two clubs and was still out celebrating her 45th birthday in the early hours.

Among the first to congratulate Fergie was supermodel Kate Moss who greeted her with a kiss on the cheek after she arrived at the Sketch Club for a party hosted by White Cube owner Jay Jopling.

The Duchess turned up shortly before 1am in black trousers, a shirt, jacket and large belt, and was ushered past the queue to meet the other guests.

After champagne and canapés with Jopling, his wife Sam Taylor-Wood, Tracey Emin, Lady Weinberg, Gavin Turk, novelist William Boyd and Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys, the Duchess moved on to Annabel's in Berkeley Square to continue her celebrations.

Her night out came the same week she was photographed at the Dorchester Hotel in the company of Prime Minister's wife Cherie Blair at an event in aid of anti-child abduction charity PACT.

One observer last night said: "She was clearly out to enjoy herself and was all smiles all night. It's good that she feels she can still be out and about having fun."
