Kevin Pietersen was today unveiled as the new Brylcreem Boy and admitted he had big shoes to fill.

The 29-year-old England cricketer, the first celebrity to represent the brand in a decade, was chosen because of his "creative style" and "confident swagger".

He follows in the footsteps of Fifties cricketer Denis Compton and David Beckham, who was dropped in 1999 for shaving his head.

Pietersen said: "I'm eager to bring my own style and personality."
