Kanye West, Drake and Bruno Mars will headline this summer’s Wireless Festival, it was announced today.

The annual event will take place at Finsbury Park for the first time, moving from its previous home at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

British stars Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, John Newman, Basement Jaxx, Ella Eyre, Clean Bandit and Neon Jungle will also perform at the event, which runs between Friday July 4 and Sunday July 6.

The bill also includes international acts OutKast, Pharrell Williams, Wiz Khalifa, Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks, Pretty Lights, Chance The Rapper, Angel Haze, Salt-N-Pepa, Earl Sweatshirt and A$AP Ferg.

The festival began in Hyde Park in 2005. But the contract between Live Nation and the Royal Parks ended in 2012.

Its rival AEG Live is now the tenant. Last summer it created a new Hyde Park festival, Barclaycard British Summer Time, which featured The Rolling Stones.

Wireless moved to the Olympic Park in 2013 under a one-year deal. But plans to build flats on the east London site meant hosting large-scale events would be more difficult, so the promoter looked elsewhere.

It has also moved its Calling festival — known as Hard Rock Calling before its sponsorship deal with the restaurant chain ended last year — out of the Olympic site and into a new home at Clapham Common.

Wireless will also take place in Birmingham this year, with the acts performing on both sites over the same weekend. Steve Homer, of Live Nation, said: “Wireless Festival celebrates its 10th year this year and we couldn’t be more thrilled to mark this momentous anniversary by taking it to a second site, Perry Park in Birmingham, and a brand new site in London, Finsbury Park.

“We are delighted to be welcoming back Drake and Kanye West as headliners and thrilled to secure Bruno Mars for his first UK Festival headline performance.

“They are perfect for Wireless Festival, securing these three artists plus many more world-class acts continues to cement our reputation as a world- class leader on the festival circuit.”

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, and are available at wirelessfestival.co.uk
