Singer Mika ended his run as king of the UK singles chart today after being knocked off the top spot by the Kaiser Chiefs new hit, Ruby.

The Beirut-born pop star's track Grace Kelly slips down to second place after spending six successive weeks at number one.

Climbing up an impressive 12 places this week to number three was Lil Star, by Kelis featuring Cee Lo.

Akon featuring Snoop Dogg moved down one to number four with I Wanna Love You, while Fray's How Top Save A Life moved up two to number five.

Just Jack's Starz In Their Eyes slipped down to six, and in the seventh spot was The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani ft Akon.

This week's eight was Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Catch You, which jumps up from number 24.

At nine was This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race by Fallout Boy.

Take That's latest offering, Shine, made up the top ten.

Mika also lost out in the album chart's this week, Life in Cartoon Motion moved down to second place to make room for Back to Black by Amy Winehouse.

Eyes Open by Snow Patrol stuck at number three while Fray's How To Save A Life was a new entry at four.

Take That's Beautiful World held firm at number five and The Killers' Sam's Town moved up from 13 to six.

Lily Allen also rose five places to number seven with Alright Still and Undiscovered by James Morrison took eighth place.

Nelly Furtado was at nine with Loose while Fratellis rounded out the top ten with Costello Music.
