This is the new blonde in John Redwood’s life – a glamorous accountant called Susan Precious.
The former Tory Minister, 57, and Miss Precious spent Friday evening at the Henley Festival in Oxfordshire watching soprano Lesley Garrett.
Redwood, nicknamed The Vulcan because of his resemblance to Star Trek’s Mr Spock, has told acquaintances she had split up with her husband, Andrew Gibson, before he started to date her.
His own 29-year marriage to wife Gail ended in bitterness in 2003 when she famously claimed he dumped her by phone.
Mr Redwood, MP for Wokingham, Berkshire, denied the allegation before stepping out with his parliamentary researcher and former model Nikki Page.
It is understood they broke up at Easter – although both insist the split was amicable.
Yesterday morning the MP’s silver Jaguar was parked in the drive of 55-year-old Miss
Precious’s £700,000 detached red-brick home in Henley-on-Thames.
Just before 10am he drove to London to attend an engagement at the Globe Theatre.
Mr Redwood is believed to have known her since 1999 when he joined the board of Hare Hatch Holdings, a property company near Reading. Ms Precious was a fellow director.
She married Mr Gibson in Huddersfield in 1976 but divorced in 1995 and relocated to
fashionable Henley. It is believed the couple have no children.

Miss Precious now spends much of her time working for the bridge-building firm Mabey and Johnson.
She came to the door yesterday and said: ‘I can confirm I am going out with John Redwood.’
A neighbour said: ‘She’s a tough cookie.’
Last night the MP’s exwife Gail said: ‘I haven’t had contact with him for years. We have two children but they don’t have contact with him either.
‘I have never heard of Susan Precious. He made his bed and can lie in it with
whoever he chooses.’
