Joey Tribbiani is losing even more friends - his new show has shed 2.5million viewers.

His Friends spin-off show, Joey, has seen its audience slump to 1.6million - fewer than half the 4.1million viewers who tuned in when it began last month.

Five is said to have paid £450,000 an episode for the show which sees Matt LeBlanc's struggling actor move to Los Angeles.

It has been panned by critics and, on Sunday, was beaten by Crufts, which won 3million viewers for BBC2.
