Jade Goody's life story could now be turned into a major feature film.

Trustees of the estate of the reality TV star, who died on Sunday after a seven-month battle with cervical cancer, are said to have drawn up plans for a biographical movie.

Cancer battle: Jade died on Sunday

British director Nick Love, who directed 2004 hit The Football Factory and is the executive producer of current biopic Bronson, is said to be their first choice to direct the film.

Goody's friend Danny Hayward, who is one of three trustees of a fund set up for her two sons, Bobby, five, and fouryearold Freddie, confirmed the project was being discussed.

He said: "Her story lends itself to a biographical film. She's captured the mood of the nation. We want it to tap into raising awareness of cervical cancer."

Sources at Mr Love's company, Vertigo Films, said he was "very flattered" by the suggestion, but his involvement would depend on his work schedule.

Publishers have also been scrambling to be the first to release books about Goody with one, John Blake Publishing, being accused of cashing in on her death by renaming its paperback release of her second book, Catch A Falling Star, to Jade: Fighting To The End. The firm is also said to have changed the front cover of the autobiography, which is expected in shops by the end of this week, to include the dates of her birth and death.

It has now been announced that Goody's funeral will take place on 4 April, with a 21-car cortege travelling from her home in Upshire, Essex, to the St John the Baptist church in Buckhurst Hill.

The service will feature her favourite hymns and songs and a reading from her best friend and bridesmaid Kate Jackson. Goody will then be buried in the burial park at Epping Forest.
