Scarlette Douglas has called out her former campmate Matt Hancock ahead of the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The Place in the Sun presenter and the former health secretary joined the likes of Boy George and Mike Tindall on last year’s instalment, in which the politician finished third behind Owen Warner and Jill Scott.

Now as a new batch of celebrities and Nigel Farage land in Australia for the 2023 series, Douglas spoke to Kate Garraway about her time on the reality series on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain.

Reminiscing about her experience, she shared: “We had so much fun, I was teaching Matt Hancock how to dance, that was an experience.”

GMB host Ben Shephard asked whether she was “still in touch” with Hancock, to which she quickly replied: “Definitely not, no.”

The 36-year-old added that she’s managed to keep in touch with her other former campmates, apart from Mr Hancock, quipping “everybody, other than him [Hancock].”

The TV star was then asked: “Have you crossed paths with Mr Hancock at all?” To which she responded: “No, I haven't for ages, and it’s been great.”

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were subject to a huge backlash last year after signing up the disgraced former health secretary.

And now I’m A Celebrity fans have been left furious again this year following the confirmation that former UKIP leader and Brexit Party founder Nigel Farage has joined the line-up.

Viewers of the ITV reality show have since threatened to boycott the new series, taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their outrage.

“ITV notoriously choose the most heinous politicians. They secure these guests by promising to show ‘another side’ to them,” fumed one person.

Adding: “There are no other sides to sc**bags like Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage, and attempts to rehabilitate them for the nation is propaganda. #BoycottImACeleb."

“Hancock was bad enough but I can't even look at Farage. Do ITV realise how many viewers they will lose with this decision? #BoycottImACeleb,” penned another.

While a third person directed their frustration at the broadcaster and show hosts Ant and Dec, whom they tagged in their own post.

“@ITV @antanddec @DecsMcpartlin I boycotted I’m A Celebrity when you put Matt Hancock on your show. Now the odious Nigel Farage,” they remarked.

“I’m livid that you give these people a voice, a platform and way to be seen. I can’t, I’m livid spitting feathers. #BoycottITV #BoycottImACeleb.”
