Compilation CDs and TV programmes based on lists of top tens, best ofs and I love every year from 1970 to 1999 have been a big hit recently.

Now illustrator, designer and art director Julie Verhoeven has come up with her own creative twist on the list theme with an installation-based exhibition of her updated psychedelic-style drawings, all inspired by her own compilation of top 40 pop tunes, called Fat-Bottomed Girls after the Queen song.

Verhoeven successfully fuses fashion, art and design, and her credits include art work for Dazed & Confused and The Face magazines, designing appliqu?d additions to Louis Vuitton's monogrammed bags and accessories for this year's spring/summer collection, and co-directing a music video for the Sugababes. She may be working at the trendy end of design and illustration but her music choices show a reassuring lack of concern about including happening tunes. Up there with Stereolab's 'Simple Headphone Mind' and Belle & Sebastian's 'Boy With The Arab Strap' are 'Xanadu' by Olivia Newton-John, 'Painter Man' by Boney M and 'Lost In France' by much underrated, throaty blonde Welsh songstress Bonnie Tyler.
