A Harry Styles fan shocked onlookers when she turned down the opportunity to get her hands on £28,000 in exchange for cutting up her ticket to a Harry Styles gig.

The As It Was singer, 29, is currently down under for the Australian leg of his Love On world tour.

The young woman called Jess was waiting at the front of the line to get into his show in Sydney when she was approached by producers of radio show The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

At first, she was offered $1,500 (£845) but quickly turned it down, prompting host Kyle Sandilands, 51, to keep upping the price – but she refused all offers.

“I’m sorry, there’s no way in hell I’m missing this concert,” Jess said following his first offer.

Sandilands then went on to increase the money a few times, with her seeming tempted by $5,000 (£2,817).

Her friends and fellow Harry Styles fans waiting in line encouraged her to turn it down as she became conflicted.

“What about $50,000 (£28,000)?” Sandilands said, seriously upping the ante.

Remaining resolute, it was a firm no from Jess, saying: “No. I’ve never seen Harry live before.”

Co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson praised the young girl for her resolve, saying: “I love you, Jess. You are a true Harry Styles fan and you should be proud.”

The radio show shared a clip as it went down on Instagram, with many shocked that she hadn’t taken the cash.

“She could’ve gone and followed the rest of his tour and meet n greets and so much more with 50k. She wasn’t thinking,” wrote one person in the comments section.

“Take the money and then buy nosebleed seats cos there is still some available,” said another, followed by three crying with laughter emojis.

Interestingly singer Meghan Trainor then weighed in to ask: “What’s her name?”

“Her name is stupidity,” replied one person saracastically, but another claimed to be the girl’s mother.

It has yet to be seen why the All About The Bass hitmaker wanted to know.
