Harrison Ford has left fans in hysterics over his confused reaction to a question about his new Marvel character.

The 80-year-old is joining the MCU playing General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross in the upcoming films, Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts.

Recently, Ford has been attempting to feign off questions about his foray into the comic book franchise as he promotes his latest project, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

And the Hollywood star’s latest attempt to play coy about his new character has left fans in a tizzy online.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, he was asked about Red Hulk, the superpowered alter-ego of his character General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross.

The journalist said: “The eagle-eyed viewers noticed you were wearing ripped pants. Might we be seeing a Mr Ford as the Red Hulk?”

To which, Ford answered, characteristically nonplussed, “What is the Red Hulk?”

As the journalist explained the Red Hulk’s connection to Ross, Ford continued to pretend he didn’t know what she was talking about and turned to Waller-Bridge to say, “You knew?” in a comical moment.

A clip of the interview has since gone viral on social media, with fans taking delight in the film star’s demeanour.

One tweeted: “That is the most Harrison Ford response I have ever heard and I love it”.

“I love it when Harrison Ford plays dumb for the media,” another person commented.

However, others weren’t so convinced he was “playing dumb” and speculated that the reaction was in fact a way to avoid dropping any plot details like Marvel stars before him, namely Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo.

“The realist in me says this a NDA thing, but I want to believe he is genuinely asking,” another fan suggested.

A fourth quipped: “If you get Harrison Ford’s sense of humour he is f**king with the interviewer here and doesn’t want to give away spoilers.”
