Hannah Waddingham had stern words for a photographer who apparently asked her to “show leg” as she posed for pictures at the Olivier Awards.

The incident occurred on Sunday as the Ted Lasso actress, 49, faced snappers outside London’s Royal Albert Hall ahead of the awards, which she was hosting.

In a fan captured video posted to X, formerly Twitter, Waddingham can be heard calling one a “dick” for making the unwelcome request.

“Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man,” Waddingham said. “Don’t be a dick otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say ‘show me leg’. No.”

The actress then shook her head and walked off. She continued to exchange words with the photographer as she moved on, pointed and added: "Have some manners."

The star, from south London, has also been in Game of Thrones and Sex Education, and was a fan favourite when she co-hosted last year's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.

This year marked a second year that Waddingham helmed the prestigious ceremony.

This time around, she treated the audience to a performance of the Cole Porter penned song Anything Goes, from the musical of the same name.

Succession star Sarah Snook and former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger were among the big winners on the night.

Snook was crowned Best Actress for her multi-character performance in the Sydney Theatre Company’s version of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Scherzinger was named Best Actress in a Musical for her turn as Norma Desmond in the recent West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard ahead of its transfer to Broadway.
