Two of the capital's leading promoters, house and techno night Base (which has been going for seven years) and Wide (pioneering UK bass night), have banged their heads together and come up with

Work It!.

Bringing together their respective sounds under one roof and two rooms, Work It! features Detroit's Kevin 'Inner City' Saunderson, alongside residents Jim Masters (founder of Base with Carl Cox) and Trevor Rockliffe.

Meanwhile, the UK bass comes from its principal exponent Cutlass Supreme - and, if you're wondering what the hell UK bass is, think of an electro, jungle, hip hop, booty bass and ghetto-tech mash-up. Basically, if it's got a heavy bassline it qualifies.
