Former pop star Geri Halliwell is looking to reinvent herself as a television host

The one-time Ginger Spice counts George Michael and Little Britain star David Walliams as her close pals - as well as her former bandmates.

A source told Broadcast magazine: "It's really early days but the idea is that Geri could really get to the heart of issues with her guests."

The pilot is being made by Talkback Thames, the company behind The X Factor.

Talkback confirmed it is in talks with Halliwell and the format is in development.

Halliwell is currently in the process of reinventing herself following the birth of daughter Bluebell Madonna.

In addition to her TV career, she is writing a series of children's books to be published next year.
