THhe ex-boyfriend of Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has poured his heart out over his split with the pop star, telling friends he is absolutely "devastated".

Together: Freddie Fuller and Amelle Berrabah last year

Freddie Fuller, 26, had been dating the British singer for six years when she ended their relationship last month due to a difficult Christmas and New Year.

A source close to Freddie told us: "He hasn't really been speaking much about his break up with Amelle until now. At the time it was a real blow to him and he is devastated. Forget about the fact that she is a well known name, at the end of the day, he misses Amelle for who she is.

"He loves her so much and has said that he has no bad feeling towards Amelle at all and would take her back if he had half a chance."

The couple have been speaking occasionally since they called it quits, sparking speculation that they could rekindle their romance.

Those close to Freddie have said that he has become incredibly career driven since the break-up and has now enrolled on a fourweek film course called Acting For Film, at the Met Film School at Ealing Studios.

Our source added: "He really wanted to focus on acting years ago, but it was at the time when Amelle first joined the group. He didn't want people to think that he was riding on the back of her fame, so he pushed the idea to the back of his mind.

"But now, he realises that he can't think like that otherwise he will never be able to progress.

"The course is only for four weeks and he is really enjoying it. He's definitely more positive than he was before and is far more career driven.' After the couple's split it was reported that Amelle, 24, had been under pressure from bandmates and management to consider a break-up. Concern grew after Freddie was involved in a bar brawl a year after Amelle joined the band.
