Big Brother has reprimanded the housemates for sleeping during the day.

Head of House Darnell - who was elected to the position by the rest of the contestants at the weekend - was called to the Diary Room for the second time on Tuesday to receive a ticking off.

Big Brother warned the music producer he must stop the rest of the group napping.

After emerging from the Diary Room, Darnell told the housemates Big Brother had 'named and shamed' the people who were breaking the rules by napping during the day.

Perhaps the contestants are as bored of the latest series as ratings indicate the rest of the British viewing public is.

And it was Dale who was the first to be told off by the Head of House. He said Big Brother had specifically mentioned the house hunk and went off to wake him from his afternoon snooze.

But the trainee PE teacher, 21, insisted he wasn't catching 40 winks but just 'had his eyes shut'.

And Mohamed didn't escape a telling off either. Darnell approached him as he took a power nap in the garden. Darnell warned: 'It doesn't matter about your reasons, we're not allowed to nap. No napping!'

Darnell is worried Big Brother might take tougher action if the housemates do not stick to the rules.

He later told Lisa: 'They're through with people falling asleep. Period.'

It was the second time Darnell has been told off by Big Brother today. He was earlier reprimanded for allowing the housemates to participate in a messy food fight in the small hours of Tuesday.

The housemates were forced to clean up or receive punishment.
