Did they or didn't they?

Television history may well have been made on Big Brother today - but there are only two people in the world who know the truth.

What is for sure is that if housemates Stuart and Michelle did not actually have full sex under the sheets in the early hours of this morning, they certainly came closer than any couple on a British reality show.

The student, 20, from Macclesfield, Cheshire, and the model, 23, from Newcastle, have spent much of the first seven days in the house flirting. And in the early hours of this morning, following a night involving a "spin the bottle" drinking game, the pair spent nearly three hours together under the duvet. The show's official website is now asking "Did they, didn't they?"

Whispering under the covers, Michelle said: "Don't do it if you don't want to." After a bit of deep breathing she asked: "Do it again."

But despite a lingering fourminute kiss, she later ended a sentence: "We haven't had sex."

And the true depth of their passion may be hard to judge because of her earlier comment about "securing the deal".
