10.45pm, BBC1

This quasi-scientific series, about the power of our emotions, has more padding than a Mr Blobby suit but still manages to include enough interesting information to make it worth watching (with the added benefit that there are stretches when you can easily pop out and put the kettle on or open another bottle of wine without missing anything).

Tonight's final episode looks at desire, and what it does to people. Not surprisingly, what it mostly does is give people an enormous high - because it releases adrenaline and dopamine into our system, giving the same sort of sensation as taking cocaine (but without the risk of your septum falling out).

Featured in the programme are Jane, who keeps serial dating to get a new buzz, and - at the other end of the scale - a man whose passion for one woman has lasted 60 years.
