Craig David is to perform at a Michael Jackson tribute concert.

The 'Seven Days' hitmaker has confirmed he will be among musicians who will commemorate the late singer's life at the 'Michael Forever Tribute Concert' on October 8, held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

On his Facebook page, David wrote: "I am honoured to announce I will be performing alongside some of the world's greatest artists at the Michael Jackson tribute concert."

The full line-up is set to be announced over the coming weeks, and all proceeds from the show will be donated to charities in the UK and US.

Shortly after his death from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009, David spoke about how 'Billy Jean' singer Jackson had been an early influence on him.

David added: "He inspired me growing up and millions of other people we already know. I can only reminisce over the great music that he made because otherwise you just dwell on the fact that he's passed away.

"I was incredibly shocked by the whole thing. In my lifetime I probably won't have someone like him who's a true superstar."
