John Cleese is making a small screen comeback in the next series of Will And Grace.

The Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star takes the role of Lestor Finster in six episodes of the hit US comedy. His character starts a romance with Karen Walker - whose late husband had an affair with Lestor Finster's daughter Lorraine, played by Minnie Driver.

Producer Jeff Greenstein said: 'Cleese is well-loved in America from his Python days and we're sure our British audience will get a kick out of seeing him.' The shows will be screened in Britain next year.
