Cheryl Cole showed off her animal side as she stepped out in zebra stripes for the X Factor performance of her new single.

Wearing printed tights, a suit jacket and bang-on-trend black boots she flaunted her amazing legs and unleashed her wild side for Promise This.

Hats off to the choreography, her dancing was spot on but the star has come under criticism for miming her song.

Last week she pledged to sing "100 per cent live" but the 27-year-old pre-recorded the track before the results show, then sung a few lines at the end.

Some fans may have been disappointed but Simon Cowell remained loyal, dubbing her performance "amazing."

In an interview with Piers Morgan, which was aired this weekend, Cheryl said Simon was "the most important man" in her life.

Breaking down on the show, Cheryl's appearance saw Life Stories get its highest number of viewers yet - 7.8 million.

She must be doing something right.
